The VinFuture Prize is the core activity of The VinFuture Foundations, which was introduced on 20 December 2020. The Foundation was established with the vision of catalyzing meaningful change in the everyday lives of millions of people by honouring transformational technological innovations at a global scale. This year, the VinFuture Prize received 599 quality nominations from more than 60 countries around the world. Among these, nearly 100 nominations came from the world’s top 2% most-cited scientists. [1]
The first award ceremony of the VinFuture Prize had been held on 20 January 2022. The Grand prize of US$ 3 million was nominated for the team who have made a significant contribution to the development of mRNA vaccination technology.
