About the fair

Gemus Nordic Consulting, bearing the mission of connecting Finland and Vietnam, especially in water, environment, and education areas, will organize the INTERNATIONAL CONNECTION VIRTUAL FAIR with the topic of Adapting Climate Change in Water Supply and Drainage Sector in Vietnam. 

Purposes of this fair

  • Overview of starting a new collaboration water project in Vietnam.
  • Planned projects are looking for international collaboration in 2022 in Vietnam.
  • Skills that graduated students in water sector may need to be able to facilitate changes.

  • Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thanh Son – Head of Department of Urban Infrastructure, Hanoi Architectural University (HAU)

Mrs. Mai Lien Huong (MOC): Water exploitation and treatment projects.

Mr. Nguyen Manh Ha (HAPUCO HAI PHONG): (i) Construction of a new WWTP, renovate sewage system for a Southern District of Hai Phong city, (ii) Renovation of Ngoc Son detention basin (area 10,8 ha), tide lock; Construction of new pumping station in Kien An District.

Mr. Pham Quang Quynh (Haiphong Drainage Limited Company): (i) General sewer system planning for some districts in Hai Phong City, (ii) Digitalization wastewater management and flood control in Haiphong City.

Mr. Le Hung Anh (IESEM): Issues due to climate change impacts in the Mekong Delta.

Mr. Tran Thanh Son (HAU): Overview of water treatment in Vietnam and what skills graduated students need to work as water engineers.

Ms. Reisa Matsuda (Google Japan) & Ms. Ha Nguyen (Gemus Nordic Consulting): Panel discussion: Start-ups, entrepreneurship, best practices to deliver a great pitch.

  • 09:45 – 13:15: Introduction from Finnish companies and Research Institutions

During the second section, companies from both countries will have opportunities to introduce their services and/or products that may feed the situation of Vietnam.

We will select a maximum of 5 presentations for the 1st discussion. The other presentations will be presented in the 2nd discussion on 31.03.2022.
